Farah Larnauti - Exploration of Self's Nutritional Therapist adhere to the Association of Nutritional Practitioners & Naturopathic Nutrition Association ethical framework and comply with Farah Larnauti - Exploration of Self's policies regarding Equal Opportunities and Safety.
The Nutritional Therapy Descriptor: Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance, and individual care. Nutritional therapy practitioners utilize various tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances, understanding how these may contribute to an individual's symptoms and health concerns. This approach enables them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and support the body in maintaining health.
Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine, suitable for individuals with chronic conditions and those seeking to enhance their health and well-being. Practitioners view each individual as unique and recommend personalized nutrition and lifestyle programs rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. They do not recommend nutritional therapy as a substitute for professional medical advice and always refer clients with 'red flag' signs or symptoms to their medical professionals. Nutritional therapists often collaborate with medical professionals and communicate with other healthcare providers involved in the client's care to explain the nutritional therapy program provided.
The Nutritional Therapist (NT) requests that the Client acknowledges the following:
The benefits of Nutritional Therapy may vary among clients with similar health conditions following a similar Nutritional Therapy program.
Nutritional advice is tailored to support health conditions and/or health concerns identified and agreed upon by both parties.
Nutritional therapists are not authorized to diagnose or claim to treat medical conditions.
Nutritional advice does not replace professional medical advice and/or treatment.
The Nutritional Therapist may recommend food supplements and/or functional testing as part of the Nutritional Therapy program and may receive a commission for these products or services.
Professional practice standards in Nutritional Therapy adhere to the ANP and NNA Code of Conduct.
This document exclusively covers Nutritional Therapy practice within this consultation, and your practitioner will clearly indicate if they intend to extend beyond this scope.
The Client understands and agrees to the following:
They are responsible for consulting their GP regarding any health concerns.
They give permission for the Nutritional Therapist to contact their GP regarding any agreed aspects of their case.
